Hey there! I'm Aizad, and I've been part of the Front-end development team at Deriv since 2022. Over the years, I've honed my skills in various technologies like ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, and more. My day-to-day tasks involve troubleshooting bugs, implementing new features, and refining code for optimal performance. I've contributed to several significant projects, including deriv-ui, Tradershub V2, and Wallets, where I've played a key role in delivering high-quality solutions.

Beyond coding, I'm all about enjoying life's simple pleasures. You'll often find me unwinding with friends over a cup of coffee, exploring different cultures through travel adventures, and occasionally indulging in some friendly competition on FIFA.

Frontend Developer

Deriv @ 4X Software Sdn. Bhd.2022 - Present

I've had the pleasure of contributing to various exciting projects at Deriv. From enhancing Deriv Wallets and Squad Productions QA to exploring new trade types for MF users, I've thrived in an environment fueled by the scrum methodology. Not just the troubleshooter for production issues, I've also been the brains behind platform improvements. My efforts in Typescript migration and JEST unit testing for existing components have been instrumental. Collaborating with Backend, Product Design, and Quality Assurance teams has been a rewarding journey. Engaging in code reviews, sharing tech insights, and fostering discussions on emerging technologies and best practices has been a highlight of my role.

I fully immersed myself in all modules offered by the program, absorbing knowledge and expanding my skill set. My enthusiasm led me to a commendable 3rd place in the Developer's Readiness Challenge, demonstrating my adeptness and proficiency. Additionally, I've contributed significantly to projects implementing Deep Learning techniques, overseeing data collection, preparation, and cleansing for training deep neural networks. Collaborating with an expert team, I explored and executed advanced Deep Learning methodologies, generating innovative solutions and invaluable insights.

Deriv App

This project serves as the primary codebase for Deriv's trading platform. In my role, I've been responsible for maintaining the project by addressing bugs, migration to TypeScript, and developing comprehensive test cases. Additionally, I've contributed to various projects such as Trader's Hub, Wallets, and others, all of which were built using TypeScript, employed JEST for testing, and utilized SCSS for styling.

Deriv UI

This project is intended to host all the components currently utilized in the Deriv App. I've contributed by developing accessible and flexible components that are adaptable for other developers' use. Some of the components I've created in this project include Button, Input, Accordion, and many others. The project is built with Vite, coded in TypeScript, styled with SCSS, and integrated with Storybook.
